The problem is the bar is not more than 6 ft from the clerk windows(2) . Six feet in front of the live windows are 2 sams which one never worked. The big floor area where the large tables are is cramped with banquet size tables and only 2 sams in a room that probably holds 60-70 people.
So after race 5 @ SA alot people congregated in front of the live windows and below 4 tv's. so you basically have to wade through 8 people just to get to a machine or a window. Why isn't there a company out there to help these owners of these establishments to help the design of these sawdust joints? Or the CHRB helps these new owners of these otb's? Years ago the otb in SB was a tent in a asphalt parking lot. My 2nd Q for you is today @ GG race 7 there was a late gate scratch,"Trust In Tebow". Yet watching the feed there was no ticker or posting on the TV. The only reason I knew there was a late scratch was by the delay and I looked for him at the finish and I never saw him. In most of these OTB's there is no volume for all the races except SA this time of year. So I got back quite a bit from my tix with the scratches. Have any of you ever experienced this or something similar to this?
worst for me was at a casino in oklahoma. i went up to the window to play a straight $20.00 pick 3 with 3 chalky horses singled. so i tell the guy 6 with 4 with 14,,the guy says thier is no 14, so i change the horse in the last leg. so my horse wins the 1st leg pays $7.00 my horse wins the next leg and pays $10.00 in the last leg 1st click on the board #14 is 7to5 so i go back up to the window with 20 minutes to post and tell the guy my #14 is running, he says again thier is no #14. im like ok, then the horses come out on the track and right there is #14 coiming on the track and is now 6to5. i go back up to the window and says to the guy #14 is running, he says thier is no #14, im like dude look at the TV he is right there on the track. guy says im pretty new at this i didnt know they ran 14 horses in a race. now its 4 miunutes to post, i tell him get the boss over here. the boss comes over and tells me i should have checked the scratches, im like your guy told me he was scratched, change my ticket he says im sorry sir you should have checked your tickets before you left the window, im now pizzed off. my voice raises and im like change my gadam ticket you fin hillbilly, the boss says if i dont leave the window he will call security. the gadam 14 horse wins by 5 the dollar p3 pays like $50.00 and they couldnt realize why i got mad.
