i didnt see the work but its pretty evident that hes had enough was getting whipped etc..
but he did work 6 furlongs in 1:10 and 4, by any standard thats a very fast work. he was in
against an older horse and not just any older horse but the winner of the penn derby a 4 year old
of that quality is going to spank any 3 year old in feb.

'Kid, in my analysis of the work, I mentioned that HM is an older horse, so to finish ahead of him after breaking off a bit behind him is commendable. However, it was the way Mario had to hit him quite a few times, especially on the gallop-out where HM moved back ahead of him under a hold that made the work not impressive visually .

I have not been as awed with him as you have, I thought they fell apart in the Breeders Cup Juvenile, and although he had trouble, those horses were not finishing at all, and his effort in the Cash Call Futurity was not good.

But you saw something in him that impressed you and we all view things differently.... This work is only a stepping stone to his next race, where we will continue to learn more about him and Flashback.

when i latched on to this horse i didnt even know his name, i had bet on a maiden 1st timer who was the fav. hhe came flying past that horse who was not stopping late and just ran right past him with that beautiful stride. i grabbed the form and then realized his name trainer etc.. he sure finds a way to get in trouble and keeps running green. my bet was/is that he will improve dramatically over the next few months.
with these young horses i go by the way they travel, and his way of moving is really nice. we will see week from tomorrow. he doesnt have to win but he has to run a bang up race for me to stay on my little tiny bandwagon

Maiden $20,000 claimers were going 1:08 and change today so that 1:10 and 4/5ths work doesn't get the heart pumping
at all. Horse looked awful in the work and he's off the Derby path in my opinion. He's a cheap allowance horse at best
in my assessment.

Mike, he was all out, but in his defense, it was a wet-fast track he may not have liked and he did work with an older Graded stakes winner. I think a cheap allowance horse might be a bit harsh LOL

He will be retired early and tried to be saved as a stallion after O'Neill and Reddam see that he CANNOT RUN!

The horse didn't have to be whipped - he was whipped because the trainer wanted to accomplish something with the horse - 'Enough is inconsistant and doesn't seem to stay focused, except when HE wants to.

If a jockey works a horse and starts hitting a horse to push a 1:10, he won't be working many horses anymore, except maybe Baffert horses.
Thank God for the Federal Reserve. You can't have big government or big wars without them.
