a few years back 03-04 baffert had his worse years in years. a bunch of people right here on dmtc were saying how he was over the hill bla bla bla.
folks seem to think these horse trainers are like football players and they lose a step. trainers dont get worse they only get better, its a matter of stock
not horsemanship.

Wasn't some of that Baffert's uh... distaste for artificial surfaces? He seems to have gotten past that.

It is the fault of the riders?

in my opinion very demanding on the horses in the pre-race work and arrive without energy.

:?: :?:

Ya what a shame. He's won more Derbys and TC's races than all the trainers in Socal combined by a huge margin.Do me a favor study HR and get back to me in ten years.

Fredo is not my intention to ignore its achievements, is a great coach, and I'm talking about a current situation, at this time at Santa Anita, his horses have been bad, no energy. Anyone can have a bad time, that's all. no need to call me ignorant for a simple opinion. Please calm down

OK VP, lets do this .We both know HR is a roller coaster. You take all the trainers at SA, I'll take Baffy in the TC series.Lets see who has the better record?I'm giving you 20+ solid trainers You up for that? Are you a gambler or can't back up your statement? :o BTW I'm very calm. Good luck and Godspeed.

Perhaps a Southern Hemisphere foreigner who doesn't remember that our 2YOs just turned 3 in January, and most are not physically 3 years old yet, and are still being sorted-out as to surface, distance, equipment, being given an 'easy' race and looking at a long year ahead. But Baffert at 13% wins would raise an eyebrow here and there.
