8-1 and Tyler Baze- Lester's Handicapping 101

Postby Igeteven » Mon Jan 21, 2013 4:52 pm

Look at the seventh race at SA today

Morning line 8-1 going off at 20-1,

Just remember what I told you in Lester's handicapping 101,

Look for those overlays on 8-1 or lower going off at high prices.

Just a few bucks on the horse, it can make a difference to bail you out for the day.

Like I said, watch the board, watch where the money is going... who is the trainer, who is the jockey, etc, Anyone can handicap a race, however, one must read what is the mind of the trainer and the jockey.

Think Russian.

The 20 year anniversary of Bill Murray's Groundhog Day is in two weeks. This forum has become that movie.

An 8-1 ML horse going off at better than 20-1 was always known as "a stiff on the board." I witnessed that back in
the mid 70's when I started going to the racetrack. So what has actually changed since then????

What are you talking about, you must have lost on the race, if you are that mad, make sense on what you post.

I am glad you hit the horse, as we all know handicapping is not easy, one can look at the drf however, there is a human side to it.

Right now, this is the second long shot T Baze brought in at 8-1 morning line.

He is hungry to get to the winners circle. He does that, owners, will want him to ride their horses, or he will get the better mounts as we all know,

When we play the pick what ever, one can't put this type of horse in with a limited budget. But when one is playing straight bets that's another situation. These rules apply,

I like the pick 4 and the pick 5, some here like only the Pick 6,

When I am alive in the 4th leg of my pick 5, I watch the board like a hawk and watch where the money goes, what is an overlay , who is riding on what, Also follow the jocks who want to win no matter what.
T. Baze is one jockey with a lot of guts.

So I am glad you hit it.

Me, I still piss off from yesterday, 4 horses in the last leg of my pick 5 and ran 2,3, 4, and 5th.

:(
