Protection for the Jockey-should be law !

Postby Igeteven » Sat Jan 19, 2013 10:36 am

Another jockey with a head wound.

The following should be law at all race tracks.

1. A motorcycle type helmet, not the one they use now, a complete wrap around.

2. A rubber mouth piece to protect the teeth

3, More type of protection to protect the collar bone.

4. Some type of protection that will protect the spine. Some brilliant genius or engineer, out there can figure that out.

What I have seen is this, more jockeys go down with head injuries or A broken collar bone.

Kinetic energy does do a number on one, just like a car accident, remember it took a arm, leg and your first born to get into law that people must use seats belts.

Don't forget baby seats, a lot of babies died before this was enforced. One couldn't believe how some parents were that stupid not to buckle up their baby. (It's sad)

Any comments.

Sure, good Idea, I pick something up at the junk yard and put it together for them

It should weight around 100 pounds or so, then we will put it on a 105 pound jockey. :?

Lester, why even use jockeys? There is a monster match racing vs the best horses in the world in Mexico by the name of Zombie who always competes without a jockey.

good video, however, if one watches it, the horse without a rider was watching or eye balling the other horse, just stay with him, the horse without the jockey could have left him in a heartbeat,

However, horses like to stay in a together for safety reasons, They're heard animals.

Agree 100%

Condoms should be mandatory so the little pinheads can't reproduce..

The horse with the jockey ( El Antrax) is A Tempting Dash who won several big stakes races at Los Alamitos a couple years ago and the race was worth six figures so I doubt the jockey was sizing up the riderless horse. Behavior like that can separate your head from your body in that region.
