evidently you didnt get to watch the bc. hes had enough had a horrible trip, lost at least 10 lengths got stopped twice was behind a wall of horses and the got spooked in the stretch.
with a good trip in that race he would have won by 5

Re: he's had enough vs. flashback
West coast horses are soft. Very soft. From the 3 year olds to older horses. That’s why 2nd and 3rd string horses from the Midwest and east come out here and make them look silly. Giacomo was the exception; so might Demonic be. Vince P Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

Re: he's had enough vs. flashback
CK, I wagered on him in the Juvy to win and stood to win a fortune had he not hung like a thief like his owner. But that Juvy race was ridiculously slow for boy horses. How do you propose that he will become 7-10 lengths faster all of a sudden so he can challenge other 3 year olds who are much faster than him at this time? O'Neill's juice? A buzzer? If not those logical ideas, then how? Vince P Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

Re: he's had enough vs. flashback
I completely agree with your assessment concerning the "already proven" West Coast newly turned three-year-olds vs. the East Coast three-year-olds...the only thing I do not concur with is that there are some lightly raced, unproven colts (Flashback, perhaps War Academy, Demonic and Tiz The Truth) that have tremendous upside....Maybe too early to say not this year with them....
Re: he's had enough vs. flashbackok we will see, but imo he is the only horse ive seen who looks like a mile and a quarter horse. its all about the stride,
he just reaches out there like a horse who will be getting warmed up at the 8th pole while the rest are getting bone tired
Re: he's had enough vs. flashback
this is the 1st california horse i have picked to win the derby since indian charlie and afternoon deelites
Re: he's had enough vs. flashbackJust amazing. Those 2YOs will ALL be different horses in May. One hundred more pounds, more experienced, trainers will have hopefully found their best running styles, and the Darby will likely be the longest race in their short lives. When a horse wins a race easily in hand, how can you possibly ass u me that final time is the fastest that horse can ever run? After all that, if you could run the very same Derby race 10 times, there would probably be 5 different winners.
Good luck in your betting. Thank God for the Federal Reserve. You can't have big government or big wars without them.
Re: he's had enough vs. flashback
When did He's Had Enough win a race easily in hand? I agree that 3yos change from January to May but most Derby winners just "don't get faster all of a sudden" unless their name is Mind That Bird. Even the great Giacomo showed a lot of potential at two and ran some more than fast races as have just about all Derby winners. Vince P Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

Re: he's had enough vs. flashbackim reminded of horses like smarty jones and afleet alex, everybody was saying smarty jones had slow final fractions in his prep races leading up to the derby.
then after the preakness everybody was saying he was as good as secretariat. andy beyer went on and on about how afleet alex was a sprinter/miler and would never get the derby distance then he won the belmont by the length of the stretch. its all about which horses mature over the next 3 months, its my opinion that hes had enough has all the markings of a horse that will get much better over that time period and will be even better at the end of the year in time to win the bc classic and even better at 4 and 5, of course if he is what i think he is then most likely he will to too valuable to race at 4 and 5
Re: he's had enough vs. flashback
I was just speaking generally about assigning 2YO's their greatness in December and handing them the Derby. Violence was the horse who was just crusing and didn't break a sweat. Shanghai Bobby was all-in to hold off 'Enough at 8.5f. I was also just questioning times. The Euros win one mile races all over Europe at 1:38's then come to the BC and win at 1:34's. I hope an Iowa-bred filly wins the Derby then goes back to the farm. Thank God for the Federal Reserve. You can't have big government or big wars without them.
