Re: Top NY Court Won't Hear Appeal of Dutrow's 10 Year BanTrainer Rick Dutrow is expected to file a legal appeal of his suspension Jan. 16, officials with New York state say, a day before state regulators are due to officially revoke his license to train in the state for at least 10 years.
Dutrow, who still has one procedural step he could take in state court after losing two rounds before the state’s highest court, has been eyeing an appeal in federal court. He told The Blood Horse last week he would not rest until all his legal avenues are exhausted. Michael Koenig, Dutrow’s lawyer, has not returned calls or e-mails seeking comment so it is not certain if the appeal will happen or in which court. Dutrow said last week Koenig would not handle his case if the matter goes to federal court, but that the Albany lawyer would oversee his overall legal strategy if the federal appeal is made. State officials involved in the legal case, speaking on condition of anonymity, said tonight they expect the appeal to come Jan. 16. One possible venue is a federal court in Brooklyn. A mandatory five-day waiting period for the suspension to be put into effect – which kicked in when the state attorney general’s office notified the state Racing and Wagering Board that the state had won its case last week against Dutrow before the state’s highest court -- expires Jan. 17. A spokesman for the racing board said the agency is set to serve those suspension papers – plus a $50,000 fine – immediately Jan. 17. The only thing that might halt that is if Dutrow’s lawyer get another stay from a judge while their legal arguments are considered. “I was born in this game. I’m not going to stop. There’s no way in the world. They’re going to have to take me out in handcuffs. I will keep going out there until they take me off,’’ Dutrow said in an interview last week. Lmao. Can't help but think Dutrow would be a better than average handicapper. Can you imagine? Dutrow: "I like the 7 because his trainer uses the same love I used to give my horses, so he has a great shot. The 3 is off the juice because that trainer doesn't cheat so let's toss him and include the 5 because I know his vet personally and he works magic........." I dunno about youz, but I'd certainly follow his wagering advice. Vince P Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

EXACTLY. *If* the ban actually goes through, degenerates/bettors/players will miss him in the game. Horsemen? Not so much. Avatar = SACRED LIGHT
Re: Top NY Court Won't Hear Appeal of Dutrow's 10 Year Banseveral other trainers have come out saying its ridiculas that dutrow is being banned. they all know he is one of the best horse trainers in the country, if not the very best
Re: Top NY Court Won't Hear Appeal of Dutrow's 10 Year Ban
I 100% agree with this. For the horsemen who want to see Dutrow banned they should look at themselves and don't hate the player, hate the game. I think Dutrow is an egotistical but a hell of a good trainer.Mr. Super Bowl

Re: Top NY Court Won't Hear Appeal of Dutrow's 10 Year Bani keep saying it, but when his horses arrive in the paddock they glow with good health, they always standout

Re: Top NY Court Won't Hear Appeal of Dutrow's 10 Year Banits from giving them superior care compared to other trainers. no drug can do that
Re: Top NY Court Won't Hear Appeal of Dutrow's 10 Year Ban
CK, I've seen his horses. And I've been at AQU plenty of mornings and seen many other trainer's stock. Let's just agree to disagree on this one. I realize that Dutrow isn't the only one who cheats. The game is full of them. The backside has its fair share of juicers and I'm sure if you looked in a few desks, offices, etc. you'd find evidence of that. Where do you draw the line though? Because most do it, it's okay to turn a blind eye? Why not start cleaning up the game? If clean-up can be started by getting rid of a MAJOR offender, what's wrong with it? Avatar = SACRED LIGHT
