Hall Of Fame

Postby Claimboxx » Wed Jan 09, 2013 8:30 am

In thirty minutes, the announcement on who, if anybody, made the 2013 Major League Baseball Hall of Fame..

If you had a vote, would you have voted for:

Barry Bonds?
Roger Clemens?
Mike Piazza?
Craig Biggio?
Jeff Bagwell?
Fred McGriff?
Tim Raines?
Jack Morris?

It will be interesting to see how voters responded to the PED users? Fringe players ?

Piazza may have problems because of "guilt by association" i.e. everyone was doing drugs during his time.

But analyzing his career, his stats actually declined as he got older - which is the opposite of normal enhanced drug users.

I don’t know for sure if he ever did take anything but if he did, he took some bad juice.

Jack Morris's high career ERA of 3.95 will hurt his chances as voters always look so hard at stats. But in my opinion
Jack played scoreboard and never cared about his stats but about winning for his team. I would also vote in Mike
Piazza and the Houston guys, Biggio and Bagwell. All players who have never tested positive for PED's should be
considered if they have the career stats and resume. Hate the guilt by association theory all because they happened
to play in the steroids era.

How can anyone vote for Piazza?
When he was a Met he never ran out fly balls or hustled on ground outs.
The fact that he didnt take the broken bat and shove it up Clemens butt told me he was a Wuss.

At least Bud Harrelson fought Pete Rose in the 73 playoffs.

Does the HOF have a Wuss Wing, if so, then he can get in there, or maybe the section with the girls who played BBall in the 40's, like Madonna and Rosie O'Donnell.

The Detroit Tigers of the 1980's might have more "close but not quite good enough" HOF candidates, than any other team.

Morris..Trammell, Whitaker, Gibson, etc..

Piazza not juicer??? lmfao So everyone else in that era was cept Piazza....ummmm no

Majority of players in 70's used amphetamines illegally....how can they get in and not this group? Bonds and Clemens should have got 97.77 % of votes
