Fredo, Can you name a worse ride since Springer was suspended ten days for her atrocity at Del Mar???? I do not feel it was a cheap shot...

And Vic, for the most part I feel that way, 95% of the jockey colony can win on the best horse, once in a while a rider like Rosario when he was here, Gomez or Bejarano, etc.. makes a difference between winning and losing... HOWEVER, there are EXTREMES, and this certainly was one of them... She barely stayed on and she unequivocally cost her mount winning..This was an example of the 5%. As someone who has called figuratively 30,000 races or more, if you watched this and DON'T feel like it cost her, then I will have lost a lot of respect for your ability to watch a race....

CB I didn't see the ride by Jordan. Unlike you and Goofy I don't make my living from Socal racing or really bet on a weekly basis.

I was really interested in seeing this myself after reading this thread.

Calracing has it. Aug 28, 2009 race 5

I can totally see how bettors would have their pitchforks out. She didn't touch the whip and tried to hand ride him in...totally looks like she stiffed it.

Boxx, just cuz I've called that many races doesn't mean I actually watched them.

I will give you enough credit to think you have watched them, and there was a time you were agenting, I bet you noticed flawed rides and RAN or CALLED the trainer of that horse ASAP to get one of your jocks on..

I think Jordan Springer is one of the best jockeys I ever seen.

I was never a big believer in that tactic as an agent. Many agents do which I personally have no problem with. They're simply selling their guy. Only once did I pitch a trainer the next morning after a race. Not so much because of a bad ride per sey but I thought I saw a filly who was not reaching her potential. She was stuck at the n1x level. Convinced him she would shine with Rosario. Worked out nicely. She went on to be a multiple Graded Stakes winner.

Any guesses?
