Gary Stevens finishes 3rd on comeback

Postby Tvghrtvfan » Sun Jan 06, 2013 5:52 pm

Gary Stevens horse Jerbrica was 3rd. Jerbrica was involved in a photo. He ran good but the winner is better. Put in a great ride in defeat.

I thought he looked terrific. Sure he's disappointed but certainly a race to build on. Well done GS.

He's said he's going to be very selective. Kinda like a Mike Smith or Craig Perret type plan. Will be interesting to see if he hires an agent.

Tell ya what, compare it to the Casandra Branick ride in the last at Santa Anita on Sunday and tell us whether the jock matters.

So-so ride, let's not get carried away here.

Not taking anything away from Gary, especially at his advanced age, but the feeling here is that if if Casandra had been up, Jebrica would have been In the winners' circle.

Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.
