My favorite Huell moment was when he went to the border and blocked the border guard from witnessing the following:

I kind of wondered when he announced his retirement last fall. His "job" seemed to be something he still enjoyed too much to quit.
I hate it when I don't forward chain letter and I die the next day!

What a shame..I use to get a kick out of his reaction to rocks, desolate highways, and the plain ole folk.

The reason it was so enjoyable to watch him was his southern charm, the ability to make any stupid thing interesting and unlike 99.17 % of the people here he was not a KIA. He went into everything naive and that provided the best responses from the people he was interviewing . He was prepped for every show but it came so natural to get the best a answers out of people. There will not be anything close to the shows he provided.

What a shame...

best was when he went in a bar in placerville ca. and a couple of clampers were there getting trashed and he went up to them and started asking questions
and they were so drunk you couldnt understand a word they said.
