Fredo, I change it

However, I am going to play the horses and watch the game, not bet on it

JB recently bought a new Honda instead of a Ford Taurus. I think he made a huge mistake buying another JAP car when they are breaking down on Las Vegas Blvd.

I believe my dad wants the same thing the day I get married. The only difference is he will not stay at Circus Circus, he is an Excalibur man.

thought they had turned circus circus into a homeless shelter, no?

think if you are ever in a pinch like that again,
Fredo would put you up at his alpaca farm in the guest airstream.
got that cool retro feel to it.

thanks much for the trip report Lester.

Circus Circus is not for the homeless, it's a resort, it's huge, I needed a GPS to get around it.

Scorequick thank you for remembering my alcapa farm. I'm barely in the black after 4 years in business. It just so happens I purchased another company just outside Needles,Ca and will be making a special announcement here in DMFF.Mary and I worked out the details for this big day.

Friday was fine, the drive was fine, then Saturday morning after I went shopping at Wal Mar and Harbor Tools, I receive a phone call from my daughter at 11:00 am, she broke down right in front of the that Paris Hotel, in Her Honda Odyssey: the back brakes are a drums, the holding clip came off and busted a few springs in the wheel, the wheel, lock up. Now people, this was at 11 am. I was on the way back to Circus Circus to get clean up for my son's wedding. So instead I drove to where she broke down. 20 minutes later, I got there and saw she had one lane block. next thing I do is direct traffic on S Las Vegas Blvd for the next 15 minutes waiting for Triple AAA to show up.

When they did, we had her van towed to a AAA repair station. Now, it's 12:15 PM, remember the wedding is at 1 PM, My car which is a Honda Accord, only holds five people, I had to make a quick dissension, let her take my car and her family to the wedding and stay behind. She , my son-in-law, my granddaughter, and my step granddaughter and her stuff for the baby filled up my car. So I stayed behind and let them go.

2 hours later, the car was fixed and I was an 100 dollars poorer, so I drove her car to the reception, now people, I have not cleaned up, when I got there, everyone was in their suites and I was dressed like going to the race track.

I stayed there for an hour and before I knew it, it was 4 PM, I was supposed to meet Kermit in N Las Vegas no later then 2 PM, all I wanted was to see my son get married and go to the sports book.

However, there is a great side to this miss, I still can meet Kermit in 3weeks for Super-ball weekend and thank god the car didn't break down on the freeway

End of story,

Lester

Great trip report Lester. Sorry to learn about the mishaps but it sounds like you dealt with them fine and all worked out well for the most part.

And don't worry about Kermit. I sent him two fineass Quackos to keep him company because of your no-show.

Next time you're in Vegas and in a "situation," tweet me and I'll fix everything for you.

Lester, did you stay at the El Cortez?

Las Vegas legend Jackie Gaughan has a lifetime suite there and plays poker EVERY morning in the tiny poker area there.

Hope you had a chance to eat dinner there at the ..one of my fav restaurants in Las Vegas.

Old school, clubby steakhouse..big portions, and reasonable prices..

P.S. I stayed at the El Co once, and found it to be a dump. Next time, check out the low priced The D (formerly Fitzgeralds) or the higher priced Golden Nugget down the street for a nicer room..

Joel,

I stay at the El Cortez most of the time, however, I had to stay at Circus Circus this time, the El Cortez has changed, it's not a happy place anymore. I just use the sports book, nothing more.

At one time it was a really nice place and people all over the place, now it's a nice hotel with no people.
