Bounty put on fugitive Jenkins

Last Updated: 21st August 2009, 3:50pm

U.S. authorities have posted a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Calgarian Ryan Jenkins, wanted for the strangling death of his swimsuit model wife.

The award was announced as a massive manhunt continues for Jenkins, 32, who's believed to have slipped into Canada on Wednesday - four days after the nude and mutilated body of Jasmine Fiore, 28, was found stuffed in a suitcase and thrown into a dumpster in Buena Park, Calif.

Fugitive Jenkins - a former Calgary real estate investor - has been charged with murder and unlawful flight to avoid arrest.
Meanwhile, a district attorney’s office spokeswoman says an ex-model found dead in a suitcase and missing her fingers and teeth was identified through her breast implants.

Spokeswoman Farrah Emami said Friday that 28-year-old Jasmine Fiore was identified using the serial number from her implants because detectives couldn’t use fingerprints or dental records.

The U.S. Marshals Service is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information on Ryan Alexander Jenkins, a reality TV show contestant who was charged Thursday with Fiore’s murder and may have fled to his native Canada.

Fiore’s nude body was found in the suitcase in an Orange County trash bin on Saturday.

Jenkins appeared on the show “Megan Wants a Millionaire” and married Fiore in a quickie Las Vegas wedding in March.
I hate it when I don't forward chain letter and I die the next day!

You know, while I certainly have no experience in this area, but you gotta figure there's at least 1000 better ways to dispose of a body than to toss it in a dumpster in Buena Park. Everyone knows that those dumpsters are worked over nightly with a fine-toothed comb for anything of value (as is every dumpster in Southern California). I bet that trash picker thought he had hit the jackpot. "Aye Caramba - this suitcase weighs a ton. It must be filled with gold!!!".

Didn't they say this savage owned a boat? Why not tie a cinderblock around the suitcase for an early morning fishing trip? Why not drive up Angeles Crest and find a desolate cliff to roll it off of? Why not take the suitcase up to Washington with him? Throw it in the central California aquaduct. We wouldn't be having this conversation right now. It's not like this guy was acting in the heat of the moment. He took the time to de-finger her and that dental work can't be easy. After all that, he really thought a trash bin outside Knott's Berry Farm was a good option?

Are you sure you don't have any experience in this area?

Maybe if he did strangle her in the hotel, he had to get her out and maybe he didn't feel like he had the time. Anyway I'm creeping myself out.

One thing is for sure he's not too bright with the fingers and teeth. Did he not know THOSE were fake? They carry serial #'s.

Other than leaving the murdered body in the dumpster as opposed to an open field, this case reminds me of the famous Black Dahlia. Jilted lover with a psychotic streak, cuts up body, mutilating victim in unexplainable ways, gets body out of hotel or wherever by placing in suitcase. Not making a joke here, but got to be the first "public" case where victim I.D.'d by serial number on her implants. Prayers go out to her family and friends.

I guess the only thing to say about that is he saved the taxpayers the money in prosecuting him and the family from going through years of trial and appeals, etc. He should have done that in the first place and saved her.

They don't think like that until AFTER they have put themselves in that position.

They were able to identify him using his gluteal implants.
