AT&T U-Verse

I seem to remember there was some discussion on AT&T's TV setup on the old board. Does anyone have U-Verse? Is it any good? I currently have Dish and U-Verse is considerably cheaper.

I seem to remember there was some discussion on AT&T's TV setup on the old board. Does anyone have U-Verse? Is it any good? I currently have Dish and U-Verse is considerably cheaper.

We had it for six months. Got GREAT deals on the U400 package (their best one) because I was on the phone with them FOR HOURS AT A TIME -- no joke. Also, received $200 in Visa gift cards from them -- again because of my persistence on the phone. We had issues with our wireless Internet connection always konking out though and our TV seemed to get lines in the picture once we got their service. HOWEVER, I honestly think that the problem was that they had just installed the fiberoptic in our neighborhood & were still working out the kinks.

I like the fact that U-Verse has both HRTV & TVG and you can record FOUR shows at once on the DVR. Can't do that with DirectTV (we switched to them to get the NFL package). Also, you can record on one DVR and watch the show on the other one later if you want. Very cool feature. Again, DirectTV doesn't have that.
