travis ishikawa and james loney are prolly

the 2 most overrated first basemen in the national league in my opinion. granted, the bar is set pretty high with fielder, pujols, howard, adrian gonzalez, etc. all playing in the national league but that particular position requires a lot more offensive production than what they've demonstrated so far. loney sometimes swings like a girl up there if you really pay attention to him in the box (not that there's anythang wrong with that). it may be time to bust out ol' steve garvey for crissakes.

It's funny you say that.

I couldn't have possibly been more wrong about Loney's power. I always felt he was a 25-30 homer guy who would hit around 300. Maybe he will be someday.

But since he's a better than average defensive first basemen and has come thru in the clutch for the Dodgers several times in the past, he's OK in my book.

Plus, did you ever see that number on his back? We'll keep him.

And speaking of Garvey, I was reading my Dodger scorebook on the way home from the game yesterday and it had an article about his All-Star game heroics. PlayBoy dude was pretty awesome in his All-Star games, especially winning the MVP one year while having the MUMPS all over the place.
