because, tonight's home plate umpire is kinda animated and emphatic with his strike calls for crissakes. i think it actually may be lt. frank drebin masquerading once again and doing some deep cover to protect the queen. is there any confirmation of reggie jackson being in attendance tonight, holmes>?

this actual game footage taken from tonight's game.

Lmao - that was the same ump.

Yep, I was there, with my daughter. Dave Dravecky, a former pitcher for the Giants who had his pitching arm amputated due to cancer, tossed out the first ball, so it was pretty emotional stuff.

It's funny, I was wearing me Dodger Blue leather jacket with all these World Series patches on it, i.e; 1959, 1963, 1965, 1981, 1988, etc, etc.

Some drunken Giants' fan starts harassing me from behind, saying, "Chaaaamppeeeonships, Big Deal" and all this satirical nonsense.

I finally realized that that was his lame-ass attempt to tease me, but being with my daughter, I didn't say anything.

All I wanted to say was, "I can lend you one of the patches if you want."

It was a fun game. We got there early, walked about 7 miles from the train station with a million other people. I ate me hot link and my daughter ordered her loving (barf) garlic fries. She even forced me to eat a few of them so I scraped off the garlic, dunked the french fries into a glob of catsup and chomped away. They weren't as horrible as I thought. But as you and Tony know, God made Garlic for Gravy and Macaroni, not for french fries.

We had fantastic seats in section 110 - not too far behind the Dodger dugout. The fans near us were loud but not that obnoxious. I'll probably go again Wednesday to see Lincecum pitch - first person in here who calls the jock’s room at GoldenGatebytheBay and tells them that Vince be there for the new opener, gets two BCup tix. The problem forn wednesday's game is that Chad Billingsley, who has been pitching quite well lately but keeps pulling something or another, has been scratched, so the Dodgers will have to use like 9 relievers or something. Plus, Hudson hurt his penus last night. I dunno, I hope there's a vet in the house for the next two games. Does Dutrow do baseball players too? Or should Manny’s fertility pills work on Hudson and Billingsley?

ps: Cuz Tony, I hope this ain't too long for you:-)

you talkin' aboot rock hudson or orlando hudson? orlando is always getting hurt eh>? dude should just suck it up and quit crying for crissakes.

i think manny was taking the fertility pills for a variety of reasons which may have included the increased likelihood to conceive as well as masking the roids in his system like lasix supposedly does. i read in today's paper that jeff "scary" weaver is prolly gonna start on wednesday so be prepared to go home a loser, holmes.

JB,
You may have been too young when he pitched, (not that I'm older than you), but here you go:

Dude,

Jeff Weaver is the man!

Not only can he surf and attract the quackos almost as well as me, you and Traveller, but he's money.

I see him coming through big time, better than he did with Bob's Cards in 2006. Weaver thrives on this kinda crap - going against whom I consider the best pitcher in the game.

I'm predicting a knockout in 7 rounds or less on Wednesday, but let's first win one for Lon Chaney tonight.

Need I remind you all that the "ace" of the Gints staff threw a no-hitter against none other than the San Diego Padres. What are they? Double A?

Weaver does thrive on this stuff. The minute you count him out, he rises to the occasion. Remember the dreaded match-up against his younger brother?

Dodgers sweep.

let's hope you're right with your prognostication of a dodger doggs sweep for crissakes. i prioritized my time and made czeching out the game on my raggedy sofa as the most important event for today, wednesday, august 12, 2009.

go scary weaver!
