Too bad he didn't impress Torre enough to let him start the 9th last night. But that was the lesser of Torre's egregious errors last night. In extra innings after they score a run, they had a guy on second with two out. He lets Trancoso come up to bat. WTF was that? Can anybody out there in KIA land 'splain that to me????

JB: Kershaw is the real deal. I wouldn't trade him for anybody, including Halladay, Hershiser or even Osteen.

I was also puzzled by Torre keeping Tranman in but it sorta made sense. Torre and LaRussa both often go against the grain and that's why they're so successful, although Torre's had great players through the years.

It was a dam if you do, dam if you don't story with Kershaw pitching the 9th. I probably would have brought in Broxton too. Man, with 2 out, no one on, 2 strikes on the batter, I would have bet my life it was "Game Over."

Dam Cardinals - they figuratively own the Dodgers. Next time I see Bob B, I'm going to beat him just on general principle.

I've said it many times this season..the Dodgers are winning most of their games despite Torre..not because of him..

Agree JB.

Personally I like Torre (from Itlee and raised in Brooklyn) and I know players like him too; plus he's a good manager for this team and handles controversy quite well.

But he's no Billy Martin or Mike Scioscia when it comes to baseball brains.

I don't blame Torre AT ALL for pinch hitting for Kershaw in the ninth inning..

The bases were loaded with 2 out up 1-0 with one of the best closers in baseball about to come in..NO QUESTION you pinch hit and try to get the insurance run..that just didn't work out..

But not hitting for Troncoso with a runner on 2nd in that 11th inning left me scratching my head..when you can tack on another run, no question you pinch hit and rely on another reliever to close the deal..Torre's got some splaining to do with that..

VERY tough loss last night, prolly the toughest of the season..reminded me of how my J-E-T-S season ended last year wtf..

Looks like La Russa "pulled a Torre" and pitched to The Bison with 1st base open and Ausmus on deck.

3 more outs and we can take our 1 win and get the love out of Bud-town..
