Walter Cronkite has died at age 92

I feel that the last link of what made television a worthwhile contraption is gone ... now it's just a noise machine ... it's for entertainment ...not for edification

I know that isn't true, but Cronkite was such a superior news anchor .. he represented what was best of TV news ...there were many who were really incredible, but he was the best ...."the most trusted man in America"
As I read in one of the obits, for those of us who grew up in the Cold War, the Kennedy assassinations, the MLK murder, the Civil Rights movement, the Vietnam war and Watergate and all those other tragedies and triumphs, Walter Cronkite held our hands and helped us through those times.

May he rest in peace......

and that's the way it is .....

Glad he got to live to such an advanced age.
