I lost my LBD (little black dog) after a short illness. Emma never met a stranger nor did she expect anything but kindness from every living being. She befriended everyone from repairmen to a non-poisonous snake that used to visit the air conditioning unit in our yard.
We adopted her January 15, 2001 and today we lost the sweet, pool-drinking, dancing sentinel of our family.
feel real bad for the loss of your little black doggie Emma - know you miss her much - is never easy, they’re only with us for such a short period of time… old and ancient Weenie Fred now has me trained to bring him heat packs to put on his back, they last for about five hours then he wants a new one, honestly is wearing me out - know the “day” is inevitable but he’s hanging in there surprisingly after a few close calls last summer, fingers crossed… hang in there!
Have you tried acupuncture? I have Bassets and a Dachshund (who hasn't yet had problems). The Bassets definitely have back and hip problems. My vet that does the treatment says "well look at them, they just aren't built right." They think it's a spa day.
if were a younger dog with disc problems would definitely try acupuncture -fred's main problem is just being approx. 18 years OLD lol - last july the vet gave him a $12 cortisone shot in a syringe the size they'd use on Big Brown honestly, well it's worked for six months and we're going back for more soon, dang wish I could have one lol...
