Must be getting close to ten years ago, a poster here at DMFF, something akin to Bonapartiste recommended a restaurant in Vegas that we prolly never would've tried without his excellent review back in the day when trip reports were a regular featured item here.
Mon Ami Gabi, it's the sidewalk joint in front of Paris.
We've made it a ritual stop every time in Vegas since then, and last night was no disapointment. There's something special about sitting outside (under the heaters, it's pretty nippily here, about 40 degrees or so) and watching the mooks walk along the street while you're eating the finest filet mignon with something called merlot butter on top.
Making the ambiance even more perfect is the view of the water dancing to the dulcet sounds of Sinatra across the street at Bellagio. But just as we sat down, we noticed quite a crowd gathering around the pond, much larger than usual and it included a few police cars as well. Apparently, some guy named Vince decided it was a good day to go skinny dippin, truth! Ain't seen nothin like that startle the fans since Artax.
And the joint we be staying at, The Venetian, has added an area of poker tables, JHC must be over a hundred tables, larger area than the Racebook, what's this world coming to?
