You better take a cash check on him instead of pee. That was a high school call.

oh well, Pats dont win but cover lol.

other than that a good day for the hoodie haters, eh?

not saying it was a good call on the play, but-
according to ex-coach steve mariucci, belichick hits on 78% of his 4th down calls.
guess can understand his confidence in his offense.

It's funny, had this worked out, everyone in here who called him a moron, 117% guaranteed, would be saying,

"What a clever gutsy call Bill made - no wonder he's won 7 Super Bowls."

I would have done the same thing as Bill. The only downside to making that call is that he's basically telling his defense that he doesn't trust 'em.

I would have agreed with the move had the ball been a lot further down the field, rather than just outside the red zone

What do you think of the Patriots going for it on fourth and 2 on their own 28-yard line late in the fourth quarter?

That has to be the worst move Belichick has ever made.
36.9%
Good call. They just didn't make the play. It happens.
24.2%
Belichick's ego got in the way of making the right call.
21.8%
It was the right move. Get the first down, game over.

Absolute Utter Nonsense!

I've been coaching Pop-Warner professional football for about 17 years and have made that same call Belichick did a million times and every time it has worked out for the best.

You second guessers ought to be ashamed of yourselves.

LOL.

Let's look at this call logically and statistically and pretend that Belichick isn't a sourpuss.

The Pats are at their 28 with 4th down. They punt (the punter has to drop back to the Pat's 10 yard line) to about Indy's 30 or 35 - a punt of about 40-50 yards. Indy runs the ball to about the 50, (if they don't run it all the way back). Indy now has 50 yards to score rather than 30.

You guys are telling me that those 20 more yards are going to make a difference and the Colts don't score?

That's where the nonsense comes in.

I'd much rather try and run the clock out and leave Manning without the ball in his hands, whether it be from the 30 or the 50.

Belichick absolutely made the right call

I can't believe that no one in here sees the light like me:-)
