How do you top a grand slam HR in the top of the 10th inning?
You make the greatest catch since Willy Mays for the 3rd out in the bottom of the inning. Hopefully this link works.

Hitters who bat 8th in the lineup usually don't make the all-star team..
Besides being a great player, "The Bison" is also one of the nicest Major Leaguers we have ever met. My son and I went to the Dodgers hotel (The Omni) in S.D. during their 4th of July series..Kemp chatted for about 5 minutes with us and took pictures (see avatar) and signed autographs. Don Mattingly and James Loney were also great. However, Andre Ethier, our .240 hitter, didn't want to be bothered..

As far as Kemp is concerned there's been a huge debate over him, Sandoval and Victorino for that final spot on the All Star team. Most Giant fans say Sandoval has better stats than Kemp, which he does, albeit very slight. Kemp actually has a ton more stolen bases and more runs scored but Sandoval has a couple of more HRs, about 3-4 more RBIs and about 7 points on Kemp's batting average. But Kemp has a higher on base percentage (.389 vs .382), so they're about even.
But when you consider defense, the debate ends - Kent's "got it."
And I'll never understand in a billion trillion million years how Victorino beat out both Kemp and Sandoval in the vote off....then to make matters worse, Manuel takes Werth instead of Kemp for that extra spot.
Vince is angry.
