He came in last night and shut down the Cards in four straight OT innings, saving a game, (not figuratively as the save was officially recorded by Bell) that should have never gone OT except for a ridiculous call by a boneheaded ump down at third base.
This ump also showed his complete disregard and lack of respect for the game and the players and fans as he would dispose of his used chewed out bubble gum after each inning, in left field, in the field of play, to which our play by play guys made special note of, calling the umpire's actions disgusting and focusing on that fact all night long after the horrendous call at third, to which I am fairly certain that the commissioner's office will have something to say about this ump's unsanitary, ill-mannerly and disrespectful act.
Keep the tickets. I don't care for the Mets, either. To me they are the replacement Dodgers of NY.
In actuality, they were the replacement for the Dodgers and Giants (hence the blue and orange in their uniforms).
Yeesh!! Now you got me feeling sorry for the Mets.
