forum posting ? - Kindle Fire

Postby Pooch » Tue Mar 19, 2013 5:06 am

I usually log in to the DMFF from home or work computer and have no problems posting replies or creating new topic.

A few months ago the significant other got a Kindle Fire and it's the most amazing thing I've ever seen.

One issue when I use the Kindle and visit here, I can view and read the DMFF posts, but when I attempt to reply it seems to put me in a loop. I get logged in and write up a reply, but when I push the submit button ... it takes me back to the previous screen viewed prior to being logged-in and the upper right shows that I'm not logged in. Only way that I've been able to post using the Kindle is to close the browser, start over, log-in before even reading a single post, then it works. Seems I can't browse posts, then find a topic I'd like to reply, then log in, then create a new post. Sorry for the wordiness.

Anyone have this type of scenario?

Happens on my Kindle too. Very annoying. Don't know what the solution is.

I believe del mar has an app you can download. Not sure you can post on the forum using it though

From the Web Elves:

Sounds like it's not accepting cookies. We don't have a kindle to play around with, but here are some instructions I found online explaining how to turn them on:

Tap "Web" at the top of the screen. When the Web screen comes up look at the very bottom. There's a "menu" icon about middle of the bottom black bar. (The thing that looks like a graphic representation of a list.) Tap that and you'll get a long list of various settings. Scroll down that list until you see the option "Accept Cookies" or something very similar. Make sure that option is checked.
I hate it when I don't forward chain letter and I die the next day!

Accept cookies was already checked. I unchecked, went to another setting, then back to the cookies setting and check marked it.

This is the first attempt to post, let's see if it posts.
