Pretty sure those ads are based on what you click on because I have a Southwest Airlines ad on my page..

Mitch,

Me thinks those ads are based on personal traits, history and tracking.

For example TT is a huge SouthWest customer so he always receives SouthWest ads.

I always get Quacko and new In 'N Out franchise pop-ups.

Mary S receives and adult baby-siting materials.

And I think you probably received a ton of Obama ads as a big financial supporter of his platform, no?
