I would not convict him , I would give him a pass on all counts if I was on the jury.

It is this kind of thinking that got OJ an acquittal.

Who wouldn't you convict? We've asked posters to include enough info about the link that readers know if it's something they wish to check out.

I don't know what you mean about your response.

However

This drink driver kills his 2 sons, then he shots the driver dead, I know a few good lawyers that would love to have this case.

Me, I think he will get off on temporary insanity

What would you do if you were on the jury.

there's not enough information in the article. building a defense would depend upon the alleged witness' testimony - if two of his family members had already been "killed" by the driver, it might be reasonable to infer the shots were fired in self-defense?? as a juror you could buy that scenario no?? in any event, a tragedy for all involved, alcohol such a wonderful drug :(

My God, Alvin is where I lived for 30 years. I see things haven't changed much. Need to call my step-dad and get the inside scoop.

So why was the guy out driving after killing 2 people with his car while drunk? Why was he at or near the Father's house?

I would probably do that now at my age, but not if I had another kid to care for. Free room and board and all medical expenses paid. Not a bad gig.
Thank God for the Federal Reserve. You can't have big government or big wars without them.

was waiting for Texas to weigh in! the truck had run out of gas and the father and two young sons were outside pushing it because they were only 150 feet from the entrance to their driveway (but we're talking country here, so no telling how far up the driveway the house was), that's when the drunk driver plowed into them (the wife and another child had remained inside the truck).

Without the benefit of hearing the evidence presented to them, would have to disagree with the Grand Jury’s issuance of an indictment – personally don’t believe the defendant possessed mental capacity to form an intent to murder at the time of the tragedy, forensic results are still incomplete, and they can’t even find the weapon!
