31 degrees

Postby Dgstan » Sun Oct 11, 2009 6:47 pm

They just said it's 31 degrees with chance of snow in Denver for the Rockies game. Couple of questions:

- Why (other than the obvious east-coast bias) is this the night game? It should have been a day game.

- How do you keep your beer from freezing over?

One time I was traveling for work to Detroit and I had to stay in some fleabag motel in Livonia in Febuary. Understandably, I needed a beer. I braved the frozen sidewalks and picked up a sixer. I had no way to keep them cold, so I put them out on the balcony. By the time I got to beer #2, they were frozen solid.

It's at night because the MLB wanted the Yankees to be in Prime Time. That's not so much east-coast bias as it is marketing the Biggest Market team. Also the MLB HATES using common-sense. 3 games on a Sunday against the NFL? Are you crazy or dumb? They are lucky because the Cards got swept last night that they didn't have 4 games today and have 2 games basically at the same time. The MLB must have some current/former Horse Racing leaders helping them out

MLB still thinks they are America's past time...when in actuality they aren't even close.

Forgot to add this earlier: The Broncos played at 2:15 Mountain Time so that affected the time of the game as well.
