Angels sweep BoSox

Angels rally against Papelbon with Vlad driving in the tying & winning run. It's still a ways to go, but the chance of a Dodger - Angel WS is now closer to being a possibility.............. 8-)

IMO, Francona lost that series when he left Beckett in the during the bottom of the 7th inning of Game 2, after Beckett gave up a walk to start the inning. The Angels went on to score 3 in that frame and won 4-1. Again, JMO.

Did you guys watch the TBS telecast? I didn't but I heard it was so pro-Boston that they had nothing to say when the Angels came back. They weren't even familiar enough with the Angels to make any intelligent comments.

Does TBS continue on with the ALCS/NLCS or does it go to FOX now. Hopefully, with fewer games, the announcing will be better and the high-quality hardware will be used. I know the Dodger series was plagued repeatedly with both audio and video glitches.

Anyway, congrats to the Angels and Scioscia's small-ball philosophy.

I didn't, but if that was the case maybe I didn't miss so much by listening to Rory Markus on the radio.

Well, Don Orsillo is the Red Sox regular TV play-by-play guy, so it was probably hard for him to switch to completely neutral mode in that situation. Buck Martinez had done a couple of games with Orsillo in Boston this year when Jerry Remy was out. He has a weird accent ("Red Sucks") and was always repeating the obvious three or four times.

A lot of folks are going to be surprised by LAA. lets hope the Yankees are included.

That ol' east coast bias can jump up and bite anytime, anywhere.

Not a good day to be a Boston fan, both Pats and Soxs spit the bit deep in the lane.
