Here is another true story

Late Saturday night, I was sitting next to my daughter, she was playing a slot machine, just for the hell of it, I put 20 bucks into the machine, now this was a penny machine, I was playing 35 cents per pull.

Minimum wager. I hit the biggest payout, if I had max coins in the slot, I would have won a 1000 dollars, instead , it paid 6000 to 1, I only got back 60 bucks.

Friday was fine, the drive was fine, then Saturday morning after I went shopping at Wal Mar and Harbor Tools, I receive a phone call from my daughter at 11:00 am, she broke down right in front of the that Paris Hotel, in Her Honda Odyssey: the back brakes are a drums, the holding clip came off and busted a few springs in the wheel, the wheel, lock up. Now people, this was at 11 am. I was on the way back to Circus Circus to get clean up for my son's wedding. So instead I drove to where she broke down. 20 minutes later, I got there and saw she had one lane block. next thing I do is direct traffic on S Las Vegas Blvd for the next 15 minutes waiting for Triple AAA to show up.

When they did, we had her van towed to a AAA repair station. Now, it's 12:15 PM, remember the wedding is at 1 PM, My car which is a Honda Accord, only holds five people, I had to make a quick dissension, let her take my car and her family to the wedding and stay behind. She , my son-in-law, my granddaughter, and my step granddaughter and her stuff for the baby filled up my car. So I stayed behind and let them go.

2 hours later, the car was fixed and I was an 100 dollars poorer, so I drove her car to the reception, now people, I have not cleaned up, when I got there, everyone was in their suites and I was dressed like going to the race track.

I stayed there for an hour and before I knew it, it was 4 PM, I was supposed to meet Kermit in N Las Vegas no later then 2 PM, all I wanted was to see my son get married and go to the sports book.

However, there is a great side to this miss, I still can meet Kermit in 2 weeks for Superball weekend and thank god the car didn't break down on the freeway

End of story,

Lester

So please I'm confused here help me get this story straight.
1. You went to and HarborTools for wedding gifts and Cold Duck champagne for the guests ?
2.Your son and daughter are by chance getting married at the same chapel and they decide to drive an older type van like vehicle to Vegas instead of renting a newer/newish type car/station wagon, panel van with windows on their wedding weekend ?
3. You actually stayed at Circus Circus ? Tell me you didn't actually pay with paper American type bills to stay there?Last I heard the rooms were 17.00 per night. Enough said.
4.Their getting married at 1 PM and your meeting Kermit at 2 pm at the Alliant whichis way north of the strip. Why would you leave your families wedding and not attend the reception at the Bellagio? Not the Big B.
5.Are you sure Kermit is serious about meeting you? The Super Bowl is actually in 3 weeks not 2.

I suggested to Lester he wouldn't have time for playing the horses but he thought he would. I was going anyway but said I couldn't drive down to the Strip.

Breaking down on Las Vegas Blvd - that's the stuff of legends!
Thank God for the Federal Reserve. You can't have big government or big wars without them.
