On to the NLCS

Postby Dgstan » Sat Oct 10, 2009 8:04 pm

Dodgers made it look easy today. Manny has awoken, we've uncovered a new ace, and earned 4 days off. Meanwhile, it's snowing in Denver and now they have to finish that series - rain or shine - without any days off for travel. I'm sure Torre can keep them focused during their vacation and if the other series goes the distance, they'll have a distinct advantage over their tired rivals.

What do you do with Billingsly now? Kuroda's coming back and Padilla has proven himself an essential part of the rotation. The NLCS rotation looks like this: Kershaw/Wolf/Padilla /Kuroda

Who do you cut from the playoff roster to make room for Kuroda, because somebody has to go? Do they carry 12 pitchers and send Castro packing? Thome? I'll guess Garland is the odd man out.

The playoff roster in the NLDS was:

Martin
Kemp
Ethier
Loney
Ramirez
Blake
Hudson
Furcal
Pierre
Belliard
Loretta
Castro
Ausmus
Thome

Wolf
Kershaw
Billingsly
Padilla
Broxton
Sherrill
Kuo
Belisario
Trancoso
Weaver
Garland

Good guy Castro makes the most sense to me. Personally, I would rather have Garland than Kuroda on the roster..but then again I would vote for Zenyatta for HOY if she wins the BC Classic, so wtfdik?

Who gives a rat'slovingass about baseball when the RAMS are ready to Rock 'N Roll today. There should be over 77,000 screaming Cardinal fans now switching their allegiance to the RAMS this afternoon at 10am sharp.

I predict a Rams' loss, by say like 10 to 38.

Now back to baseball.

What time will Thursday's and Friday's game be?

After conferring with Triple Threat, and btw TT, CONGRATS on scoring tickets to Friday's Game II, I'm thinking both game swill be 6:37pm, especially since the Yankees will probably be playing Friday at 3:07 our time. This makes sense as their game will be in NY Prime Time or thereabouts between 6:07 - 9:37pm.

Thursday definitely at 6:37pm Dodger time.

Your time estimates.....?

Closest prediction wins TWO TICKETS to Games III and IV at Dodger Stadium in early November vs the Yankees.

You have this in legal loving writing.
