Little debate on gun control.

Little debate, that last thread was deleted when the site when down

The Constitution says, we have the right to bare arms.

This was written over 200 years ago.

However, this is fact, back then, one need a gun to survive , to hunt for food, to keep the Indians away and protect your family or for the State Military.

Now, I can't see it, I have a police dept to protect me, I don't have to hunt for food , we have a have good military, and I don't see any Indians on the warpath except in the Casinos.

No civilian should have an military rifle or An Assault rifle for home use.

Yes or no.

Anyone.

Thanks Joel,

Nobody need a weapon of war for home use.

Believe me, I am not against the standard rifles, pistols, etc, just a rifle that can hold 20-30 rounds that is automatic.

I'm usually pretty liberal on issues but I agree with CK on this one.

I'm really not into banning anything and that includes guns. I'd rather the focus be on holding people accountable for their actions and giving more attention to mental health issues.

It was really sick what happened the other day but it's hard for me to blame the event on an inanimate object like a gun. Starting bans on stuff is a slippery slope.

I don't own, want to own, nor have I ever fired any kind of gun. I don't like them. I'm a wuss when it comes to guns. But in my experience the overwhelming majority of gun owners are responsible folks.

The cliche is true: guns don't kill people, people kill people.

I would rather get shot in a massacre then start slowly giving up rights. It's better to die on your feet than live on your knees.

Just my opinion.

i just think that the constitution and the bill of rights should be followed to the letter of those two documents.
its like the bible, i love how so called religious people take the parts they like and toss the parts they dont like.
its all or nothing. if our government doesnt want to go by the rules then the government should be abolished
and we start over...which by the way i hope happens in my lifetime
