Do Men get Lost more than Women?

It's funny, a broad friend of mine has one of those border collies that's a search and rescue doggie. And she's always going on these searches.

Every time she gets back, I go, "Who was you searching for?"

99 times outta 100 she goes, "This man disappeared and his wife/kids called in a search for him."

NOT ONCE has she ever said, "This broad got lost/disappeared and her husband called in a search.

Questions:

Do men really get lost more than wimmins or do wimmins get lost the same but men don't axe for them to be found?

Do most men purposely disappear from their spouses or is this just a big coincidence?
