Hostess had 115 different collective-bargaining agreements with employees represented by the bakers union. Each contract let those workers choose an amount of wages to direct to the pension plan.

Probably very little. But I am sure that people will be led to believe that it was all diverted for those purposes. It is not unusual for cash-strapped businesses to divert payroll and pension payments to try and keep the doors open.
