Question for Uncle ProRo

Postby Vince P » Thu Dec 06, 2012 8:09 am

Not that I have any money left to gamble on football, but why ain't the motherlessloving Falcons favored by more than 3.7 points over the pathetic Carolina Panthers?

According to the spreadsheet I do, the Falcons are 17 points better.

Why the weird low number? Is there a fix in or something?

Well, listen to the line. Generally it is the biggest indicator of who the correct side is. When these teams 1st met on Septemnber 30th the Panthers led basically the whole game in Atlanta only to have a last 2nd field goal beat them 30-28. The line is where it is because linesmakers still arent a big believer in Atlanta and Carolina is usually involved in very close games.

I trulely believe that the Chiefs would have beaten any NFL team last Sunday as the KC player murder suicide for some reason woke there asses up and they played there best posible game. So the Panthers effort in that game is somehwat excusable. Carolina rarely gets n out and matches up well enough with the Falcons. Throw in the fact that the Falcons are currently the biggest public side, a seamingly low spread and the chance that this could be a sandwhich game for the Falcons as they just crushed the Saints season last week and have a possible look ahead to the Giants next Sunday.

All the factors added up your supposed to be betting Carolina +3.5 or passing on the game.

Lol. You made some very valid points and physically prevented me from wagering on the Falcons.

I owe you a Quacko or a Trip to Tahoe - your choice.
