Each night I stream a film on Netflix to aid my ADD in falling asleep. Two nights ago I stumbled upon "Dear Zachary" and havent been able to sleep since.
This documentary is about the film makers best friend who is murdered by his girlfriend. It was supposed to be a compilation of reflections about what a great person the friend was, told by his family and friends. The film takes a curve when they find out that the girlfriend is 4 months pregnant by the man she killed. It then becomes almost a video diary for the baby to learn about his father once he gets older.
I strongly recommend that all of you see it if you have not. It is one of those films that stays with you for a long time and show's you the power and will of people through adversity. I have never been so stunned that I was paralyzed for several seconds.
I give this a rating of more than 4 stars. Best film I may have ever seen.
