When I am in the car I like talk radio, KFI, however, listing to the commercials, they're all directed to fear. IRS, Refinance now before it's to late, cancer, etc.
Better do it now or it's to late. Commercial after commercial , this really sucks, is there a radio station out there that just plays decent music or have good talk radio.
Now the talk hosts, same thing over and over again, They sound like a broken record or their music sound like it's on another planet.
I ran it by my doctor, he said "if it hurts to do that, don't do that."
Hope this helps.
Thank God for the Federal Reserve. You can't have big government or big wars without them.
thanks and bring back the frog.
How about KNX? More news. Less bloviating.
I hate it when I don't forward chain letter and I die the next day!
Unfortunately fear sells. I define fear as that emotion of irrationally projecting or predicting some future personal clamity. It's personal because we really don't care much if the calamity happens to someone else. Fear can paralyze and enslave a person emotionally, and physically. Fear is something no one wants to endure. So, the best product to sell, is the product that promises to alleviate that fear. Of course the best way to sell that product to alleviate that fear, is to plant the seed of the fear in the mind first, then nuture the fear until the customer can't stand it anymore, then convince the customer you have the product to alleviate that fear (whether the product works or not). I think we've seen more and more how we as a society are being manipulated, first by being told "that there is something to fear," then being told it will surely get us unless we have "this" or "that" to protect us.
Listen to those commercials, realize the intent of those commercials and laugh, especially when you realize that FDR's product was the best remedy for fear when he so correctly said, "We have nothing to fear but fear itself."
P.S. Speaking of fear, I heard a good one tonight on the national news. I predict this will produce the next big product sale to alleviate this irrational fear. Tonight on the national news it was reported that "if you have a crease in your earlobe that runs diagonally you run a higher risk of heart disease than a person that doesn't have that diagonal crease." Just more fetilizer for the pharmacutical industry seeds, IMO.
Bart, excellent response.
