It was the Hostess company plan all along, workers defined pensions will now be picked up by the FEDS at a reduced rate, the workers will be lucky to get 60% at retirement age, sadly these type of manufacturing job's which used to pay $ 20- 30 per hour are one by one closing in the same fashion.

UNILEVER a Global conglomerate company which i am and have been a investor of for the past 20 years and have done reasonably well in dividends and growth, i noticed one of their plants in Canada that was sold, and short time later shut their doors, costing jobs, pensions, lives shattered for the families , in short , we are losing good paying jobs and getting replaced by low paying ones :x here is a story i followed on one of Unilever plants....http://www.thestar.com/news/gta/article ... bankruptcy

i need a link to see the balance sheet, but i do think it's like the big 3 in Detroit, wages and benefits just not sustainable going forward at their current demands, i'm not willing to pay BMW prices for a Ford.


I think Twinkies have to made in :oops: :roll: China and shipped.
