Mary, please don't be factual and knowledgeable - you know well that history is always written by the conquorers. Thank God for the Federal Reserve. You can't have big government or big wars without them.

Re: Who really discover the America's ?
The people from Norway did not discover America. The people from Norway discovered Minnesota. Here's the history: Minnesota discovered and settled by Norway, became part of Mexico, by way of Spain, by way of France, and was eventually thrown into the mix of the Louisiana Purchase. History has it that the Spainiards couldn't take the phrase "Yah, you betcha" and "how about them gophers, eh" anymore. So they made a deal with France, which said "if you take Minnesota we'll throw all of the g'dam Louisiana Territory in with it." " Just take Minnesota, OK?" The French took the bait and quickly realized their mistake. They too became sick of names like Sven and Oly and especially Olga, not to mention the phrases "Ya you betcha" and " how 'bout them gophers, eh." No matter how far south of Minnesota they got, those names and phrases haunted them Frenchmen. The French then said to the colonies, "Look, you guys take Minnesota, and we'll throw in the whole Louisiana Territory, plus if you need help in 1812 we'll help you." So, Jefferson I believe said "ok we'll take the deal." Now it was about the time that Lincoln became president that he offered Minnesota to Canada, because.... you guessed it.... he couldn't take the phrases "Yah, you betcha" and "how 'bout them gophers eh" anymore. Canada has yet to respond to this offer.
Re: Who really discover the America's ?
Lester, Listen and listen carefully. You are correct that I did not personally discover America. But make no mistake about it, America was invented by an Italian guy named Amerigo Vespucci who was a distant cuzin of mine. This is a little know fact that is kept hidden because people are racist and jealous of Italians. Vince P Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.
