I know this is a terrible way to begin a Ron Artest thread but,

He sure picked a twisted, raunchy number to wear...#37??? ugh!

Yeah I wonder how he came up with 37 as well. Maybe it is the age at which he'll retire? Who knows...

Artest has chosen a new number as well. In honor of the late Michael Jackson, he has picked the #37, which stands for the number of weeks MJ's Thriller album was at no. 1 on the charts.

"I was trying to figure out a number, I was talking to my wife and kids," Artest said during the press conference. "I was on my Twitter, MySpace, and Facebook and asking everybody to help me pick a number. On my MySpace, somebody named Trish The Dish came up with the #37 and said that Michael Jackson's Thriller was 37 weeks at number one of all-time. 23, I was going to choose. It was available. It's a great number but, I thought [with] that 37 and Thriller, I can make that a new great number. I think more kids should start getting the #37 for a great human being, since Michael loved all people. I think I'm representing greatness in wearing #37."

I'm sure not going to think Michael Jackson when I see a # 37. Wrong sport, but to me # 37 is Casey Stengel-

Ron Ron will always leave you scratching your head. The only thing predictable about him is his unpredictability. :o  :? Think he is something, I heard fairly reliable story about his wife, when they first moved into NoCal. UPS man was delivering to next door neighbor and saw The Artest's arriving at new house and said " Hey, welcome to the neighborhood." She immediately replied " Hey, you don't have to Kiss My A**, pal." A match made in heaven!

You guys see Ron Ron on TMZ this past week hanging with his "boys" outside a club in L.A. All of them were flashing gang signs to the camera(trust me, I grew up in the middle of gang zone). Absolutely love him as a player, as one of the few that will actually guard someone. Just keep on eye on him getting in trouble outside the court.
