Huge call in the LSU - Georgia game on Green after his TD. Didn't seem bad to me, no taunting that I could see, but big celebration after a big play with his teammates. LSU gets the ball back in great field position and scores TD to win. They also get called for excessive celebration for pointing into the crowd, which was worse than what Green did, but I still didn't think it warranted a penalty either. Georgia did not have enough time and threw an interception that ended the game. I'm not a big fan of taunting, but these calls were over the top. Seems all the analysts I've heard tonight agree and I hope they change the rule or give better guidance to the officials.
Next week it's Florida and LSU from Baton Rouge on a Saturday night. I'm an SEC fanatic and apologist but it just doesn't get better than 1 vs 4 in Death Valley on a Saturday night with a bunch of drunk Cajuns at full roar. Maybe they could even get Mike in a cage and bring him to the stadium to give a roar to fire up the crowd. If Tebow plays, I'll be listening for the deafening chant from a couple years back of "F*** you Tebow" that was clearly audible on the broadcast back then.

I'm with you Bob about the SEC. Best conference in the NCAA IMO. I root for every SEC Team, no matter the sport, to win.
LSU needs to get that offense going IMO, but I still think it doesn't matter what the outcome is because both teams will still have a shot at making it to the SEC Championship and the National Championship with 1 Loss.

BS calls for sure. I feel bad for Georgia (although they still should have won, they have no one to blame for their lack of tackling on the late LSU touchdown). I get so tired of NCAA officials and this lame ass rule.
As for the SEC, it is the best conference, however I think LSU is not even close to a top 10 team. They could easily have two losses right now.

Some of the calls in tonight's LSU-Florida game make me wonder. I saw 1 personal foul on Florida that I thought wasn't, but I also saw a couple of "Off-Sides" on LSU that didn't look like it to me either. No, I'm not blaming the refs for Florida giving up 3 points because they were going to be giving up at least 3 points anyway.
What was up with Urban's call on 4th and 2? I thought it was terrible. TAKE THE POINTS IN A DEFENSIVE GAME!!! But that's why I'm not in Urban's position or making the buck like he is...

If you're talking about the call on the late hit out of bounds on Florida it wasn't on the ball carrier. It was five yards further down the field on a Florida linebacker that knocked a blocker out of bounds well after the play. I thought it was a bad call at first but a few minutes later they showed the replay downfield of the penalty.

Alright, that makes sense. I didn't see the replay of the hit and I couldn't hear the call either. Thanks for enlightening me.

Did anyone really think LSU was going to win DURING the game with the way Florida's D was playing AND the way LSU's offense played? I sure thought more than 16 points would be scored by the 2 teams, but that just shows what I know LSU is not done yet, but they REALLY need to get that Offense going otherwise they will get steamrolled by Alabama.

It never did look like they were going to score, but it was similar last week vs Georgia and then the flood gates opened in the last 3 minutes. Both defenses are very good as are Mississippi and Alabama. What's separating the big 4 in the SEC is two of them have an offense and will likely meet to go to the BCS Title game. I felt really bad for Mississippi's defense today, because I thought they played their hearts out against Alabama, but were given no chance by their offense. Jevon Snead is losing a lot of $$$ in draft position and while I think most of it is the offensive line's fault, he's the one that's going to pay for it. LSU and Mississippi should be a very interesting matchup on 11/21 in Oxford. I think the LSU - Alabama game in Tuscaloosa on 11/7 is going to be a replay of the Florida win tonight in Death Valley. I just love that conference.

I agree Bob on feeling bad for that Ole Miss defense. they were put in horrible positions time and time again and kept holding the Tide to FG's.
I disagree however on LSU. I think they end up being a 3, maybe even 4 loss team. Their offense is so dreadful that they don't even trust Jefferson with the entire playbook. I think they lose to Ole Miss and Bama and who knows from there.
Also, has anyone actually been to Oxford and to "The Grove". I am envious everytime they show it (and the women) on TV.

I agree that LSU is going to lose to Alabama, probably to Mississippi and maybe even Arkansas, who is the polar opposite with a great offense and little defense. I've never been to "The Grove" and unfortunately I don't think much of the academics at Ole Miss so it won't be on my daughter's college visit list. I'd love to visit most of the SEC schools and see a game. We've already toured Florida, Georgia, Auburn, Arkansas and Alabama. Tennessee and Kentucky are coming up next month, but we haven't been to any games. Of those we visited we were only able to go into the Swamp, in fact the tour finished in the football stadium at Florida.
