It Might be an, uh, "Interesting" Season on Montezuma Mesa

San Diego State coach Rocky Long has always been about doing things differently.

At New Mexico, he developed the innovative 3-3-5 defensive scheme and now he's debating on whether to do away with punting on fourth down — if the Aztecs are beyond the 50-yard line — for the 2012 season.

"It makes sense," Long told the San Diego Union-Tribune.

"Additional plays would allow you to score a lot more points," he said. "It also puts a whole lot of pressure on the defense."

The kicking/punting situation must STINK over there at Montezuma and 55th!

The punter they had last year was pretty good but the kicker was AWFUL (6-15 on FG att). Now they have a bunch of young and/or players with no experience.

The 3-3 Stack!!!

6-6 for the Aztecs this year (maybe). We will be watching, when we can!

I was waaaaay wrong about the Aztecs this year. They are 8-3 (6-1 in conference) with a game @ 3-7 Wyoming in 2 weeks. They need help from Air Force who I imagine will be big underdogs @ Fresno on the 24th to win the conference. Staying and playing at home for a bowl game wouldnt be so bad...

Definitely! We went in 2003 but missed the 2005 game.

We are also going to out the Cal game the next weekend.
