Business ideas.. What to do?

I have been a partner in a Solar business for the past year or so. We do solar water heater sales in Phoenix and business has been going great. We have grown from 2 employees to 19 in the past few months. No complaints there.

I have about 40k leads that are all home owners, interested in green products, have purchased solar and/or high dollar high efficiency home products and earn at least $100k a year. I also have a full time team of 8 telemarketers that are the cream of the crop, at least from my experience in dealing with callers.

I am looking for another industry/product that I can use our leads and callers on.

Anyone in an industry that could utilize these services? Anyone have any idea's of where I should be looking?

With those demographics, you should look into having them pitch:

1) Financial products, IRA's, self directed IRA's;
2) Long Term Care (LTC) insurance;

I bet if you talked with some local Phoenix financial professionals, you could get them to pay your team to set up appointments. Just don't have your crew write any "wood"......sorry, can't resist the Boiler Room reference.

Not very hard at all, Beckron. We use a solar pool heater that is made by Fafco. Price runs from $3-5k depending on pool size and is about a 4 hour install. It also qualifies for the 30% no cap fed tax rebate.

There shouldnt be much of an issue with keeping your pool up around 100 degrees, but I would check with a dealer in your area. We dont get much cloud cover here in AZ, but 5-6 straight days of cloudy weather in FL would make the product useless during those times.

We have a Sales Rep that has ran at least 30 bids and has not closed a single one. He goes straight for the coffee when he arrives for our friday meeting.

Would an IRA or an LTC be some sort of a residual commission product? I have not received a single "wood" appointment from my TM's. I pay them on a sliding scale of $10-20 per appointment, $150 when we close the deal. I am looking for something to keep them happy and productive, not sure how a residual would work.
