The Chicago Bandits opened their season last night in their cool little stadium out by O'Hare Airport in Rosemont.
These ladies are really good. Something tells me I'm gonna be a regular here; inexpensive downfront tickets and easy access to the ballpark. I'm there. It's a very nice alternative to the two MLB teams in Chicago.
If only we could wager on this stuff life would be perfect.
The great Wayne Messmer was on hand for the National Anthem last night. Very nice.
The crowd isn't huge, but they are fanatics. Best part was at the end of the game when the players of both teams signed autographs and mingled with the fans.
Monica Abbott pitched for the Bandits. I think she was an Olympian. I am still in the process of learning who the players are.
Good times. Real good times.
