USC's opponent this weekend, Washington State only had three decent offensive players at the start of the season. Jeshua Anderson a WR, he has quit to concentrate on track, Montgomery a RB (now out for the season due to injury) and RB Dwight Tardy who is still playing.

Honestly I think Washington State scores 30 points...the rest of the season. They will get 6 or less this weekend. USC could play 9 or 10 guys on defense and still shut them out. A good time to get a bit of a swagger back. I would like to see 80 or so be put up by the Trojans.

USC loses to CAL, (MAYBE) UCLA, and Oregon State again. Worst year ever for Pete Carroll.
Any chance of containing Jahvid Best??? NOPE |lie|

Beckron...After seeing the crawl on ESPN 5 of 6 of USC's losses since 2006 have been against unranked Pac-10 teams we started debating what the cause of that is. Is it USC having a lack of respect for the competition or is it that the other teams just have nothing to lose and play lights out. At any rate, I'm sorry Ogy.

...I might buy the overranked, but no way would I think that's the reason to lose to a team that went 0-12 last year. I would take USC's third best talent to beat them. I think this is all mental.

Masterp...This team was annointed its ranking and hype. Any other program rolling out a QB with no experience and really no weapons at wide out would certainly not have been ranked so high. After 3 games we have seen that the defense is as good as advertised, but the offense has a long long way to go. whether the qb is Corp or Barkley, this isn't your dyanmic Trojans teams over the last 7 years. Although they do get Washington State at home next week.

Honestly I think this is a 3 loss team at best fo this year.

I'm done with these things called "Polls". Why did Washington get put in the top 25 based on 1 win? Washington is NOT a Top 25 team and I know I am posting this after they lost to Stanford. But these polls are creating something bad, but I just don't know how to put it in words. Maybe it's over-confidence? I don't know, but I do know this- polls are worthless because it truly has become Any Given Saturday...

didn't know where to put this but Stafon Johnson was injured today when he dropped a weight on his throat. Don't know the extent of the injury but sounds pretty bad and per la times he's still in surgery (5+ hours) http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/sports_ ... ident.html

Terrible story about Johnson, best wishes for a full recovery.

Srotagtbs...couldn't agree more. The polls are in my opinion ruining the game. Right about now, or maybe even another week or two is when the first polls should come out. However, College Football seems to want to be the sport that is always about opinion and arguments. UW is a perfect example...along with Ole Miss.
