I uploaded the video of the n call. I don't know what happened to the concepts of "down by contact" or "the ground cannot cause a fumble", but I guess those basic tenets of football don't apply when it comes to the Raiders. How many times do we see the ball pop out after a guy has been tackled and they say he was already down? This guy was clearly down. Both feet and his butt were on the ground.

It wasnt a fumble. Ruled an incomplete pass. I dont agree with the call at all in terms of what the rule is, but its a call they have been making for the past few years. Player must maintain possession and he didnt...right call..crappy rule. Instead of blaming the officials, how bout blaming the raiders. They had plenty of ooportunitys to win the game and didnt.

I could see it being called incomplete if he had lost possesion....but at NO time did the receiver lose possesion....he should have been considered down upon contact......he NEVER lost the ball....but oh well, you are correct.....they still had plenty of chances to win after that.......

He did lose possession ...ball hit the ground. He didnt maintained possession throughout completion of the play. Would have helped a ton if the WR had his hand under the ball instead of on top of it. Ball would never have come out. Down by contact has to do with a fumble I believe so wouldnt apply. Trust but verify.

Nobody is blaming the officials for the loss. Just pointing out the bad calls. Every football team knows they have to play good enough where a couple of n calls won't make a difference, but this was the granddaddy of all n calls.

Its not a n call ..it was the correct call. Blame the rules not the officials. They got the call correct

then they need to make that call consistently.....and they do not....if it hadn't been reviewed, it was a touchdown.

It was reviewed automatically. Under 2 mins left in tha half. Agree they need to be more consistent with the calls. Pats game two years ago they had something similar happened vs the ravens. Was ruled a completion and prolly shouldnt have been. And that TD did affect the outcome of the game.

The referee said he "lost control as he was coming down". That was his reason for reversing the call. He did not lose control coming down. Both feet were down as well as his rear end. As the defender rolled over him, the point of the ball hit the ground causing it to come out. This was well after he was down. At no point coming down did he juggle the ball whatsoever or do anything that would suggest he did not have 100% control of the ball.

Down by contact. Touchdown RAIDERS!!!!!

Disagree with ya DGstan...he must mantain possession throughout the completion of the play and he didnt. Replay clearly shows he didnt.
