I am really down about what happened to Hear the Ghost. I wanted to see more of him this spring. Let's hope this is a short break and he comes back great!
Like last week, here's another "how low will you go?" race. Beholder is going to get an easy lead, and it'll all be over. I'll go down to 3/5 on her. Any lower, and I'll play a for fun shot with Could Be Trouble, who'll be a huge price and might just get lucky if Beholder and Hay go at it (I was thinking Iotapa, but Could Be Trouble looks like she can get the distance better)
R6 Thunder Road:
Fed Biz. If he gets the lead, he'll win. If not, he won't. Pretty simple...
R7 Potrero Grande:
As president of the Comma to the Top fan club, I need to bet him.
But, realistically, he might be in pretty deep here, so if I can't get 3-1 on him, I'll go with Jimmy Creed if he's 5-2 or so.
Hoping for a decent price here with Birdlover. If she gets the lead, she'll be dangerous!
I was going to go all-in with Hear the Ghost, so now I'll go with forum wise-guy horse, Tiz A Minister and hope that Flashback and Goldencents take each other out again!
I like Walkwithapurpose here. She's not facing a whole lot, so the step up from Laurel to here shouldn't be a problem.
R9 Bay Shore:
If there's a bet of the day for me, it's this one. Clearly Now at 5/2 morning line looks mighty mighty fine to me. I'm hoping that he'll be that high come post time.
If the Bay Shore is bet of the day, this is a very close second. Sahara Sky should do some damage here. I just think there's a big chance he's not close to the 2-1 morning line. I'll play him down to 6/5, but no bet if he's lower.
I don't think Verrazano's going to lose here. But, I also don't like that he'll be 3/5 or so. I'll take a longshot play for action and see if I can get a huge price with Elnaawi. If I were an exacta player, I might be able to stir up a bunch of action here, but I don't do well with verticals...
Good luck all!

Just looking at her last...she's not bad!
I guess I'm a sucker for Laurel shippers, but I still like how well Walkwithapurpose has been smashing those (admittedly weaker) in Maryland...
Hahaha! Guess who's still ing the Internet?
Never trust midnight (well, close enough) thoughts, but I'm just too worked up about tomorrow to sleep!
I'm re-evaluating some things and, just because I like humiliating myself publicly, I'll post my changes:
SA R5 Oaks: No, I won't go down to 3/5 on Beholder, even though that might be a square price because she will almost certainly win this one. But, I'm falling in love with Could Be Trouble. She could do some *major* damage here. So, take her on top for sure. Probably can get double-digit odds too! Will play her boxed with Beholder in the exactas. That should be a pretty decent exacta either way it falls.
SA R8 Providencia: The more I watch, the more conflicted I get (cue the "he's gonna flip-flop!" music). Birdlover will get an easy lead and could be gone, but I think Flashy Ways needed her last out and will be much more dangerous here. Plus, she might not have liked the softer going last out. Soooo...I'll flip over to Flashy Ways to win and box her with Birdlover in the exacta.
SA R9 Derby: The more I watch Tiz a Minister, the more I don't like him. He just drops way too far off the pace for my taste. He's no Zenyatta, that's for sure. If I can get even money or 6/5 on Flashback, I'll go with him. If not, I'll take the other Baffert (which one? )...Power Broker.
Close Hatches payed $4.50. Won for fun. Interesting to see if she goes in the Ky Oaks.
Didn't even break a sweat. Next time, I'll listen to the "Pro"-ro...
Couldn't buy a winner this weekend, and 2nd-itis took hold like a bulldog on a bone...
R5 Oaks: Beholder is a beast! Could Be Trouble looked like she was carrying 300lbs....
R6 Thunder Road:Fed Biz...got the lead, had the lead...then lost...(2nd!!!!)
R7 Potrero Grande: Couldn't get 3-1 on Comma, couldn't get 5-2 on Jimmy...so no bet...but Jimmy Creed looked sharp.
R8 Providencia: Flashy Ways just was flat...I guess it wasn't the soft going she didn't like last time...for the record, this was the first flip-flop that didn't cause me pain! Birdlover ran strong, but finished 2nd.
R9 Derby:Meh...Flashback didn't get it done, but I guess bone chips make it hard (2nd!!!!)
R8 Gazelle:Walkwithapurpose kinda sorta ran...but as Proro likes to point out with sharp pointy sticks in the butt, Close Hatches was really good (3rd)
R9 Bay Shore:Ok, *this* one hurt. Clearly Now looked really good until he started to swerve like Linsey Lohan driving on the 5...still, I thought he had it and missed.it.by.that.much... (2nd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
R10 Carter:And, to add insult to injury, this one just squeezed lemon onto the salt that Clearly Now put in my wounds. Sahara Sky misssed.it.by.that.much....(2nd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
R11 Wood:Heck, by now, I was on full tilt and didn't give a crap about what happened...Elnaawi? Is he still running????
win: 26.7% (ROI: $1.98)
Shoulda Coulda Wouldas
win: 80% (ROI: $8.60)
