Was looking at the workouts for Sat, the 3f bullet (35 2/5, next fastest was 36 flat) went to an UNNAMED 4yo colt (CA bred out of Wind Flower). You don't see an unnamed 4yo in training very often -- I think it actually costs more to name them when they get older -- and this one might have some ability. I saw work tab from equibase, trainer wasn't listed on that source.
My trainer, David Bernstein, said track was very slow (evidenced by generally slow workout times) so the 35 2/5 could be something special if it was done easily. Hard to say "keep an eye on this one" when you don't have a name to watch for. Sort of the ultimate in dark works. Hope that once the horse is named the workouts before he was named will show up in the form. One Track Mind had his first 3f breeze, 37+, supposedly easy and within the realm of acceptible given the track condition. Will try a brisker clip on 8/29 if track is OK.
David reports they are resufacing the SA strip this week, no workouts Mon-Friday on main track. Didn't chat with him long, so don't have details. Don't know if they are just refreshing the formula they currently had or are changing the formula, but there is a chance track will play differently at Oak Tree than it did in the spring.

out would be interesting.
