This is why I couldn't understand the rah-rah's for CNak a couple of weeks ago. No warm and fuzzy there.

No idea. If she's smart, they aren't.

If the author knew nothing about the sport before writing this article, I actually think she did an admirable job. Damn, us degenerates need all the help we can get for this sport to get some more fans and heal up. There are 13-14 less racing days at the Autumn Holly meet and these 6 horse fields at DM stink. Any extra attention is a good thing, regardless whether it's 100% correct, right? Or should we expect more? I'm not sure.

I watched for a while but had the wrong station. Instead it was a commercial with the short mooks who make cookies in a hollowed out tree. So I turned on FOOD NETWORK and watched a rerun of MAN vs FOOD. I have no shame he was taking on the Texas challenge and finishing in 32 minutes. The man is the Zenyatta of eatting.

Remember a number of years back that Corey's sister was brutally murdered and he took time off, unlike O.J., to look for the murder suspect down in Mexico, and then shortly after that his father passed away from a heart attack :(

Now that you mention I do remember that. Lots of people have severe tragedies in their lives and they aren't bundles of rage & hate, nor do they take their ugly feelings out on other people.

Got a kick out of Garrett Gomez. He is good at making that "disapproving, tsk tsk" face, like a sour schoolteacher nun. He did it after Corey hit Iggy, and he made the same face last season after Jon Court knocked over a row of boots. Maybe after he hangs up the boots he will take up the ruler. He already has whip experience.

I wonder if Corey would have sucker punched Garrett or Mike Smith or any of the other big time jockeys, he obviously had no worries about hitting Iggy. I wonder why no one jumped in and helped Iggy, the other riders have to hate Corey.

From memory (Ha!!), he got banned from the remainder of the meet and had to go to professional counseling. Not sure about a fine.

Jockeys don't like other jockeys putting them into the rail, plus getting called "Chink" didn't please him either.

The main problem as I saw it was, he did it in front of the fans instead of taking it to the jock's room. Bad, bad!

It was a sneak attack. Corey made sure to hit & run, so to speak. Plus, the other jockeys are too smart to get into a brawl. They can't afford to have any injuries, nor do they want to end up with their names on the stewards' board.

Who was the guy who was urging Iggy to hit Corey back?

And when Chantal was visiting in the male changing room, who yelled at her and said, "Get your (bleep) out of the men's locker room!"

Was it Vince P.?

Also, loved the claiming race sequence. The whole bit where John Sadler was lurking around, with dramatic music, was a crack up. Here comes John... DUNNNNN, DUNNNNN, DUNNNNN.... sort of like "Jaws."
