I couldn't tell from that angle, but he had trouble around the first turn getting out, so maybe he was doing it again.

Quinonez appealing penalty

Jockey Alonso Quinonez intends to appeal a five-day suspension he was given on Aug. 20 for causing interference in the third race on Aug. 19, he said on Wednesday.

Quinonez was supposed to start the suspension on Thursday, but it has been postponed pending a hearing.
