What's The Penalty? What would happen if one of the SoCal tracks tore up their mandated artificial surface and replaced it with dirt during their off-season?
And remember...Things work out best when you make the best of the way things work out.
Re: What's The Penalty?Nothing compared to Keying a car.
Del Mar would realistically be the only track to do it as its off season there are no horses stabled there. HP and SA have horses during each others meet. FRIERI EQUALS HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE
Re: What's The Penalty?Who is going to pay for it??????
Re: What's The Penalty?
Don't know, don't care, not important in the big picture of the decision making in my opinion. Prolly some nice folks buying spare auto parts in the Netherlands for example. And remember...Things work out best when you make the best of the way things work out.
Re: What's The Penalty?
Funny you axe this. Just the other day, I was thinking that perhaps I was dead wrong about how fantastic synthetic tracks would be. Initially I thought they were the greatest thing since In 'N Out and would save lives, etc, etc, etc. Now I'm thinking we got it all wrong. Perhaps we should have been concentrating on breeding better and stronger horses running without drugs like they do in Ireland. Or perfecting our dirt tracks out here like they do in New York and Kentucky. Instead we did a quick expensive fix by creating synthetic tracks, which obviously, based on horses dying left and right at Del Mar (vs Saratoga and other real dirt tracks), makes the CHRB look pretty stupid again. But what's new. Vince P Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

Re: What's The Penalty? If Fairplex is allowed an exemption for their 2 weeks or racing, why can't Del Mar get one too?

I believe it was an 18 day rule specifcally FOR Pomona, not really a two week exemption. Vince P Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.
